Wenn das Gedankenkarussell nicht stoppen will, weiß ich, dass es allerhöchste Eisenbahn ist, „Ballast abzuwerfen“. Der faule Zauber Pandemie zerrt an den Nerven. Die Malerei ist in letzter Zeit zu kurz gekommen, da mich das Sammeln aller möglichen Informationen zu „Corona“ sehr beansprucht hat. (In Österreich soll ab 1. Februar eine allgemeine Covid-19 Impfpflicht eingeführt werden. Zwei Gesetzesentwürfe wurden dazu eingebracht, man hatte die Gelegenheit, dazu Stellung zu nehmen. Das habe ich nun gemacht.)

 

Zu Jahresbeginn habe ich das obige Bäumchen gemalt. Es wird mir helfen, mir mein Jahres-Motto „Ballast abwerfen“ von Zeit zu Zeit in Erinnerung zu rufen.

When the carousel of thoughts doesn’t want to stop, I know it’s high time to „cast off ballast“. The lazy spell pandemic tugs at the nerves. Painting has come up short lately, as collecting all kinds of information on „Corona“ has kept me very busy. (In Austria, a general Covid-19 vaccination requirement is to be introduced as of February 1. Two bills were introduced for this purpose, one had the opportunity to comment on it. I have now done so.)

At the beginning of the year, I drew the little tree above. It will help me to remember my motto for the year, „Cast off ballast“ from time to time.
